The Flames athletic teams had a heavy traveling weekend with three road matches and only one home match between Friday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Sept. 21.

To kick off the weekend, the Lady Flames volleyball team played in their first of two road matches for the weekend on Friday.

The Lady Flames lost the match 0-3 against the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The loss came despite the passing display that sophomore Lady Flame Sadie Johnson had as she piled up 30 assists in the match.

The weekend did not improve for the Lady Flames volleyball team as they took another 0-3 loss on Saturday.

The loss came against the University of North Alabama. Freshman Silvia Satori led the losing effort for the Lady Flames tying the match high in kills with 11 total for the match.

Junior Quade Marinelli set the pace for Saturday's home soccer game for the Flames, as he scored in the first 38 seconds of the match on the way to a 7-0 win against Oakland City. Junior David Perez added to the win with two goals for the match.

After winning the past two matches, the Flames men's soccer team season record stands at 4-2.

The weekend ended on the road with a 0-3 loss for the Lady Flames soccer team against the 14thnationally ranked University of North Alabama. Goalkeeper Haley Gribler had a busy day in the net as she had five saves and allowed three goals in the match.
