What you missed over Winter Break

While Lee students were snuggled up on the couch watching TBS's "A Christmas Story" marathon, Lee University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams were hard at work on the court.

The men’s team went into the break on a high note defeating University of North Georgia 95-90 on Tuesday, Dec. 6 and Mississippi College 72-55 on Thursday, Dec. 15 at Walker Arena.

The winning streak was broken on Saturday, Dec. 17 when the Flames faced Delta State at Walker Arena and lost 71-87.

The women’s team beat Auburn University 73-47 on Tuesday, Dec. 6, Mississippi College 77-66 on Thursday, Dec. 15 and Delta State University 55-46 on Saturday, Dec. 17. This marked the Lady Flames’ seventh consecutive win.

Both teams traveled to the University of West Georgia on Saturday, Dec. 31 and lost—the Lady Flames with a close 47-49 and the Flames with 66-74.

On Monday Jan. 2, both teams traveled to The University of West Alabama where the Lady Flames won 67-56 and the Lee Flames lost 60-71.

Both teams faced Valdosta State University at Walker Arena on Saturday, Jan 7. The Lady Flames lost 78-80 and the Flames lost 72-76.

On Monday, Jan 9, the day before classes resumed at Lee, both teams claimed victory over The University of West Florida; the Flames scored 66-64 and the Lady Flames scored 89-86 at Walker Arena.
