Our guest this week is Dr. Arlie Tagayuna, an associate professor of sociology. Originally from the Philippines, Tagayuna moved with his missionary parents to Hawaii, where he attended graduate school.

Tagayuna can speak about six languages, and can understand nearly 20. He was invited to come to Lee by Dr. Murl Dirksen, a professor of anthropology and sociology.

In this episode, you will hear all about Dr. Tagayuna’s experiences working with impoverished communities, as well as his knack for gardening and playing the cello.
