1. Stores pull Zantac Over Carcinogen Fears

Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacy chains have halted all sales of Zantac — a popular heartburn medication — after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found that it contained low levels of ranitidine — a cancer causing chemical.

2. The Collective Co. podcast launches this week

The Collective Co. is an interview-style podcast, hosted by Pastor Rob Fultz and graduate research assistant Jeff Pitts.

Pitts said the duo will interview, “influential young adults, key leaders and practitioners that are impacting our faith and culture.”

The Collective Co. will be available for listeners this week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Stitcher. 

3. Former Dallas police officer found guilty of murder

Amber Guyer, 31, was found guilty of murder yesterday after shooting 26-year-old Botham Jean in September of last year.

Guyer said she thought she was entering her own apartment and mistook Jean for an intruder. Prosecutors claimed Guyer was negligent, careless and distracted which resulted in terrible decisions being made.

Guyer will face a sentence of 5 years to life in prison without probation. The sentencing phase will continue today.
