The search for a new Lee University volleyball coach is underway after Andrea Hudson announced her retirement at the end of the season after 30 years on the sidelines and over 840 victories. University President Dr. Mark Walker released the names of a search committee on Friday.

Lee Athletic Director Larry Carpenter will chair the committee that is broken down into three segments: the university at large, the athletic department, and the alumni community.

"We are excited about finding the next Lee University volleyball coach to carry forward the tremendous legacy left by Coach Hudson," said Lee University President, Dr. Mark Walker. "We realize that such a task will be challenging, but I have full confidence that this search team led by Larry Carpenter will find the right person."

University at-large representatives will include Cole Strong, Vice President of Operations, Dr. Brad Moffett, Vice President of University Relations, and Dr. Mark Wickam, Professor of Health and Exercise Science and former coach. The athletic department will be represented by Hudson, who will stay on as Assistant Athletic Director, head men's basketball coach Bubba Smith, Director of Radio Broadcasting George Starr and Athletic Communications Director, Carman Lastoria. The alumni community will be represented by former player Keri Hudson Shrestha.
