Cameron Fry arrived at Lee University in August 2007 after a one-year stint immersed in South Alabama's acclaimed meteorology program and two years studying math and physics at Belmont University in downtown Nashville. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Cameron moved to Nashville, Tennessee at seven years of age. Heavily involved in athletics and music in his youth, Cameron said he didn't discover his writing potential until his freshman year at Belmont. In 2005 and 2006, he steadily began to craft his newly acquired skill before taking his first writing job as a staff writer for South Alabama's weekly newspaper, The Vanguard. In a short time he gained a refreshing reputation as an opinion writer with a bold yet conservative voice in a highly-secular, non-religious environment. In May 2007, after a solid year living in Mobile, Alabama, Cameron said that God shed light down a brighter pathway, which eventually brought Lee into the picture. Flash-forward a full year and Cameron's now in his third semester at Lee and with the Lee Clarion (second as the sports editor). Though capturing the best sports action on the field is a foremost priority, Cameron said he still relishes the opportunity to keep up with his online blog. "I share what God is doing in my heart, in others' hearts and how we should respond to His calling on both a local and global scale," he said.
