Rebecca J’s fudge comes from above
Jeanine Lipke, the owner and creator of local fudge shop Rebecca J’s, says, “I prayed for help on what to do, and the next morning the recipes came to me from above.”
Rebecca J’s opened in November 2006 by an eager Lipke, with years of extensive preparation and culinary skills honed from the state of New York.
Lipke started out in a bakery, then moved on to run a deli in upstate New York.
Lipke brings a variety of over 40 fudge flavors, and some are seasonal while others are year round.
She also likes to bring fudge to a new light with her tasty fudge shakes. When asked what her strangest fudge flavor she had created was she said, “Tootie fruity.”
Although it is called Rebecca J’s Fudge Shoppe, Lipke also brings a daily variety of sandwich, soups, teas and desserts to make for the perfect brunch or lunch.
While her menu has the same sandwiches and soups on a daily basis, there is also a seasonal side to this shoppe.
When entering Rebecca J’s you can smell the warmth of hot tea, and croissant sandwiches with the backdrop of delicate music to calm anyone’s cares away.
It is a great place for a quick bite or a chance to catch up with old friends around a delicately set table with seasonal decorations overhead.
As one of the fall features for Rebecca J’s, Lipke has fresh caramel popcorn as well as caramel apples.
This cozy and inviting shop welcomes one and all Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. It is located around the side of Red Ribbon on 270 Central Ave NW.
