Theft article represents poor journalism

I am writing in regards to your online article about the theft of the last Lee Clarion issue.

I am sorry to hear about this theft and I hope that you can discover the identity of the theft. I am, however, disapointed by the bias presented in the online article accusing Pi Kappa Pi of theft with no
evidence besides some Facebook statuses. I feel this is poor journalism and an attempt to create more drama.

I would like proof of the following statement as I believe it to be slander against the Greek community:

“Greek organizations, for example, have occasionally seen newspaper theft as the best way to kill a story that includes negative news about their fraternity or sorority (or one of their members) and have frequently sent out thieves en masse,” [Mike Hiestand, a legal consultant to the Student Press Law Center] wrote.

Sincerely,
Jaime Butler
