The women’s soccer team is partnering with the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer to put on tonight’s ninth annual Kickin’ It for Kids with Cancer. The event provides a fun night out for families affected by pediatric cancer and doubles as a fundraiser.

The Lady Flames will continue this tradition when they host Spring Hill College tonight at 7 p.m.

“We have been hosting this event for many years now and have developed a relationship with quite a few of the families,” said women’s soccer coach Chris Hennessy. “Given the intensity and time-consuming treatment they have to go through, the kids have to miss out on a lot of stuff. So being able to do something different, love on them and see them smile and have fun makes it all worthwhile.”

The Austin Hatcher Foundation will be selling T-shirts at the game to raise funds for the young patients and their family members, as well as to raise awareness of the foundation’s mission.
