If Lee University majors were Disney characters

Picking a major can be stressful, but it’s also a little like picking your favorite Disney character because it says a lot about who you are. Every program at Lee has its own vibe, and so do the characters we grew up with. Here’s a totally non-scientific but very fun list of which Disney character matches some of Lee’s most popular majors.

Digital Media Studies, Studio Production – Edna Mode (The Incredibles)

Edna Mode runs on caffeine and genius and always knows what she wants. She is dramatic, bossy, and brilliant, calling the shots behind the scenes and dropping iconic one-liners like it’s nothing. People might underestimate her at first, but she never misses a detail and always steals the scene.

Psychology, Counseling – Rafiki (The Lion King)

Rafiki is the definition of mysterious but wise, and he knows how to make people think. He speaks in riddles, smacks people with his staff, and somehow makes you feel like your life is about to change. His mix of humor and insight is exactly what makes him so memorable.

Biological Science, Ecology – Flik (A Bug’s Life)

Flik is a tiny bug with big ideas who is always tinkering, always curious, and just a little awkward. He keeps inventing and trying again, even when nobody believes in him. That mix of persistence and imagination is what saves the colony and makes him such a great fit here.

Youth Ministry – Woody (Toy Story)

Woody’s whole personality is to look out for the crew, and he never stops trying to keep everyone together. He is loyal, endlessly patient, and somehow keeps a bunch of chaos under control with just a cowboy hat and pure heart. That steady leadership makes him the anchor for the whole group.

Music Education – Sebastian (The Little Mermaid)

Sebastian is dramatic, musical and slightly stressed 24/7, but he still pulls off the show. He wants everything to sound perfect and keeps the energy up even when things go sideways. His mix of discipline, flair and heart makes every song feel like an event.

English, Writing – Lumière (Beauty and the Beast)

Lumière is a born storyteller who is smooth, theatrical and can turn a boring dinner into a showstopper with nothing but words and some candles. He draws people in with his charm and makes them feel like part of the story. His ability to make even the ordinary feel magical is exactly what makes him shine.

Nursing – Baymax (Big Hero 6)

Baymax is basically a walking hug machine with a soft voice, calm presence, and endless patience. He scans for low-battery friends to help and never hesitates to step in when someone is hurting, and he is always ready to scan you (or take your heart rate for our non-robot nurses). His mix of care and competence makes him unforgettable.

Marketing – Kuzco (The Emperor’s New Groove)

Kuzco is over the top and his whole life is a personal brand. He is dramatic, memorable and always knows how to make an entrance. Even when he messes up, he turns it into a comeback and somehow keeps people watching.

History – Merlin (The Sword in the Stone)

Merlin literally lives backward in time and has a brain full of random facts. He is eccentric, brilliant and a little scatterbrained but always ready to teach a lesson. His love of knowledge makes even the weirdest moments feel magical.

Exercise Science – Hercules (Hercules)

Hercules lives in a permanent training montage and is all about lifting, running and proving himself. He is goofy and sweet when no one is looking but unstoppable when he sets a goal. That determination plus his big heart makes him the ultimate fitness inspiration.

Lee students are nothing if not a mix of personalities, so it makes sense that each major would match a different Disney character. Whether you are a Kuzco, a Rafiki, or a Baymax, there is a program here that fits your style. And just like in the movies, the best part is seeing how your story unfolds.
