There were no home games for the Lee Flames this weekend from Friday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 4.

The Lady Flames soccer team kicked off their weekend on Friday night with a thrilling 1-0 conference victory in the second over-time against the University of West Florida.

In the 101st minute, Lady Flames' Kaela Leskovar scored an unassisted goal from the far left corner to win the match. Sophomore Haley Gribler is the goalkeeper for the Lady Flames, and she piled up seven saves on her way to her second clean game for the season.

With a 3-1 win on Sunday against Spring Hill College, the Lady Flames soccer team went undefeated for the weekend.

Junior Kinsey Cichowitz broke the ice in the 33rd minute on an unassisted goal to give the Lady Flames a 1-0 lead. Five minutes later, sophomore Summer Lanter scored her first of two goals on the day.

On Friday night, the Flames men's soccer team defeated the 15th ranked University of West Florida 2-1.

Junior David Perez tied the game 1-1 for the Flames in the 21st minute making it his team leading eighth goal of the season, it was his first goal on a free kick in his collegiate career. Senior Jon Finlay gave the Flames the lead with a goal in the 44th minute off of an assist from a corner kick by junior Quade Marinell.

The Lady Flames volleyball team lost their match on Friday night 3-0 against the University of Alabama. Junior Blaire Beamer led the losing effort for the Lady Flames with six kills and four blocks.

On Saturday the Lady Flames volleyball team bounced back and split the weekend with a 3-2 victory over the University of West Georgia after being down 2-1 through the first three sets. Sophomore Brooke Wilsman recorded a double-double on the win that included 11 kills and 19 digs.

The Flames men's and women's cross country teams ran in the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday. Lee's men's cross country team placed 9th on Saturday, while the women placed 12th.
