There were double wins over a small weekend for the Lee Flames. The only games this weekend were played by the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Both teams traveled to Georgia to face Shorter University on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Freshman Lindsey Roddy lead the women’s team with 21 points in the conference opener. Her teammate, junior Carrie Cheeks, had another double-double adding 16 points and 11 rebounds to the scoreboard for the Flames. The game ended 79-70. The Lady Flames have now won four games in a row.

Shorter went into the men’s game undefeated and came out with an 86-70 loss. Sophomore Isaac Merian came off the bench to score 4-of-4 shots from behind the arch and finished the game with 16 points. Senior Rico Overall scored 19 points for the Flames. The men shot 58 percent from behind the arc and 49 percent from the field.
