The men’s basketball team defeated Tennessee Wesleyan University 74-55 to top off Homecoming weekend at Lee.

The Flames got off to a slow start as Tennessee Wesleyan took the initial lead. But with five minutes left in the first half, the Flames went on a run and took the lead 24-14. With just minutes to go, they found a strong momentum, making four 3-pointers in a row.

Freshman Beyuan Hendricks came on the court early in the first half and immediately made a 3-pointer.

”Not going to lie — I was nervous at first, but it was a good sign that first shot went in,” Hendricks said.

After half time, it didn’t take long for the team to find their momentum again. With just a couple minutes to go, the coach put all freshmen on the court to finish out the game.

The team will travel to Carrollton, Georgia on November 8 to play Palm Beach Atlantic University.
